NetsforLife highlighted during Compassion in Action Roundtable at The White House
 

On February 15, 2007, the NetsforLife malaria initiative was highlighted as part of the Compassion in Action Roundtable at the White House. The roundtable centered on “Controlling Malaria in Africa- The Unique Role of Faith-Based and Community NGOs” and is part of the President Bush’s President’s Malaria Initiative (PMI). PMI is a U.S. government initiative aimed at fighting malaria in Africa.

Susan Lassen, a Leadership Gift Officer for Episcopal Relief and Development, spoke on a panel titled, “Faith-Based and Community Malaria Control Programs.” Lassen spoke about the work of NetsforLife is sub Saharan Africa where the program in training people about malaria and distributing long-lasting insecticide-treated nets.
